Hearing loss rarely arrives all at once. It turns the room down a little at a time, until restaurants are tiring, the TV is loud, and you've stopped asking people to repeat themselves.
We're an independent practice, not a chain, and no manufacturer pays us to fit its hearing aids. We test properly, explain what we find in plain English, and fit what suits your ears, your hands and your budget. If you don't need hearing aids yet, we'll tell you that too.

Do you take insurance and Medicare?
We bill Medicare for diagnostic hearing tests and work with most insurance plans. Many plans include a hearing aid benefit; give us your plan when you book and we'll check it before your visit.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
Not to see us. A few insurance plans ask for one before they pay for testing, and we'll tell you if yours does.
How long does the first visit take?
About 90 minutes: the hearing evaluation, then time to talk through the results. Bring a family member or friend if you can.
Can you help with hearing aids I bought somewhere else?
Yes. We clean, program and repair most makes, wherever you bought them. Winter visitors do this every season.
What if hearing aids don't work for me?
Every pair comes with a 45-day trial. Wear them at home, at work and at the restaurant you actually go to. If they're not right, we'll adjust them, try another style, or take them back.
Does the Tucson heat affect hearing aids?
Sweat, dust and monsoon humidity are hard on them. Every fitting includes a drying kit, and patients get a free clean and check every four months.
